COUNCIL DISTRICT 2
My journey starts in Oakland, where I grew up with mom and dad - union workers for Safeway #805, UFCW Local 5. After living under a landlord who refused to address an issue that impacted my mom's health, my family looked to San Leandro for a new beginning.
Since then, I have lived in San Leandro for over thirteen years, and in that thirteen years I graduated from San Lorenzo High School, got my BA in Political Science from SF State, and Master of Education from National University. I was elected to the San Leandro School Board in 2018, and subsequently built my professional career around public education. I came back to my high school to teach Social Science and become the Activities Director, and also took up roles up and down the nonprofit ladder.
I am incredibly honored to have served our beautiful city in so many ways, and now on the City Council representing District 2. I love our city so much. San Leandro made me who I am, and is a unique place to work together, build together, and thrive together. I'm here to stay. I work for you.
